CBS47: Oakland Raiders quarterback Andrew Walter will miss the rest of the team’s offseason work with a knee injury.
The Oakland Tribune is reporting that Walter underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday and will be sidelined for four to six weeks. He is expected to be ready for training camp, however.
An eight-game starter last year, Walter threw for 1,677 yards and three touchdowns but had 13 interceptions and just a 55.8 passer rating.
The former Arizona State star is in a three-way battle for the team’s starting position with rookie JaMarcus Russell, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2007 NFL Draft, and veteran Josh McCown.
