The Oakland Raiders have added veteran offensive lineman Cooper Carlisle.
Carlisle has played in 95 league games with 38 starts—including every game for the past two seasons for Denver— since entering the NFL as a fourth round selection by the Broncos in 2000.
“Cooper has been a consistent starter in our division and his experience will serve us well up front with our offensive line,” said Raiders Head Coach Lane Kiffin. “He fits our system perfectly and we are extremely excited to have him here.”
The 6′5″, 295-pound Carlisle has scored a touchdown in his pro career, catching a six-yard pass in 2003.
Carlisle started at left and right guard as well as at both tackle spots while earning four letters at the University of Florida. The Greenville, Mississippi,-native started at left tackle as a redshirt freshman on the Gators’ 1996 National Champion squad.
Carlisle is the third veteran offensive lineman with NFL starting experience that the Raiders have added this offseason, joining Jeremy Newberry and Cornell Green.
