FOXBORO, MASSACHUSETTS (TICKER) - Tom Brady and not JaMarcus Russell will be throwing to Randy Moss.
The New England Patriots made the biggest splash on the second day of the NFL draft, acquiring Moss from the Oakland Raiders for a fourth-round pick (110th overall).

Trading a draft pick for a disgruntled Pro Bowl player on a losing team has worked out before for Patriots coach Bill Belichick. New England acquired running back Corey Dillon from Cincinnati for a second-round pick in 2004 and Dillon helped the Patriots win a third Super Bowl title.
“He’s a very explosive player and dynamic receiver who has a lot of skills,” Belichick said of Moss.
The Pats hope a similar scenario unfolds with Moss, who wanted out of Oakland. He has two years and $20 million left on his contract and refused to take a pay cut. However, Moss was willing to take a pay cut from the Patriots.
“Money is not a factor when it comes to coming to an organization like the New England Patriots,” Moss said. “I know I have to get paid something, but to have the numbers that I was going to receive, I knew something had to be done with my contract, and I didn’t have a problem with it.”
