ESPN’s John Clayton believes the Raiders’ decision to bench LaMont Jordan is an indication Jordan will probably be cut or traded by next March.
Jordan began the season on a tear, which he needed to in order to have a chance of being brought back in 2008, when his salary skyrockets from $1 million to $4.7 million. But with his play falling off dramatically, Oakland may be more inclined to go with Dominic Rhodes and Michael Bush next year. The team also must make a decision on pending free agent Justin Fargas.
